White Oak (Flat Cut), also referred to as Plain Sawn White Oak, is a common American hardwood that is strong and dense. It has a high decay resistance due to the abundance of tylose in its cells. Flat Cut White Oak has a medium to coarse texture with wavy flat growth rings and porous grain.
